As Mike McCarthy continues to look for his next job, his old team has found his replacement.
Titans offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur received an offer from the Packers to be their next head coach, according to ESPN on Monday. Green Bay has notified the other candidates they are not longer being considered.
LaFleur beat out nine other candidates, including former NFL head coaches Adam Gase, Jim Caldwell, Chuck Pagano and Joe Philbin as well as Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels — who was reportedly in the mix to land the job.
The 39-year-old LaFleur has been an assistant with four different NFL teams, including offensive coordinator with the Rams and Titans.
