Some more information came out of Miami on Thursday about why a felony charge was dropped against Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson.
Anderson's lawyer, Ed O'Donnell, told NJ Advance Media on Wednesday that prosecutors decided they didn't have enough evidence to proceed with the case. The charge was officially dropped Thursday.
But more specifically, according to the Miami New Times, other police officers could not back up a controversial officer's claim that Anderson shoved him last May at a music festival.
The officer involved in the incident was Capt. Javier Ortiz, who has a checkered past, with allegations of excessive force and perjury, involving his written police reports.
