One Jet can’t wait to hit back at old team

Spencer Long is ready to see some familiar faces … and then to hit those familiar faces.

The Jets center spent the first four seasons of his career with the Redskins after they drafted him in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He joined the Jets in March, signing a four-year, $27.5 million deal.

The Jets open joint practices with the Redskins on Sunday in Richmond, Va. The two teams will spend three days practicing against each other before Thursday’s preseason game in Maryland.

“I can’t deny it’s been in the back of my head ever since it was announced.
