The New York Jets announced the signing of seven players to reserve/future contracts after their season wrapped earlier this week.
Reserve/future contracts lock players onto teams for the following season and are referred to as such due to the deal not counting against the salary cap until the following season. It also ensures that the signer cannot negotiate with other teams, instead placed on a specialized list with the upcoming offseason proceedings in mind.
