The NY Jets have officially filed a formality reportedly picking up the fifth-year option of superstar safety, Jamal Adams.
As first reported by Manish Mehta of the NY Daily News, Adams will now be under contract with Gang Green until the end of the 2021 season when he will officially hit unrestricted free agency.
However, it’s highly unlikely we reach that point.
Adams is set to make just $3.5 million in the final year of his rookie deal this season and while that figure will now see a sizable uptick to $9.
