The NY Jets are looking for any and all options to upgrade the wide receiver position going into 2020. And their recent signing of Josh Doctson represents just one outside-the-box method the team will be implementing.
Doctson was once a highly-touted receiver coming out of college who excelled in his final two seasons at TCU. The Texas native was voted First-Team All-Big 12 and was named a Consensus All-American following his senior season with the Horned Frogs.
In a fairly deep wide receiver class that featured the likes of Michael Thomas, Sterling Shepard, and Tyler Boyd, Doctson was one of a number of first-round receivers who failed to reach his potential at the NFL level.
