NY Jets’ defensive tackle Folorunso Fatukasi has been nominated for a special award.
The NY Jets have been pleasantly surprised with the play of Folorunso Fatukasi over the last two years. The former sixth-round pick has developed into one of the NFL’s best run defenders and is quite literally one of the best nose tackles in the league.
But for as large of an impact as Fatukasi as made with his play, he’s made just as large of an impact with his gamesmanship.
Fatukasi was recently named the Jets’ nominee for the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award which is given annually to the player who “exemplifies outstanding sportsmanship on the field.
