Bilal Powell followed up last week’s breakout game against the Giants (covered here), in which he was responsible for 108 yards of total offense and a touchdown, with a similarly impressive game this week. In the Jets 30-8 romp over the Tennessee Titans, Powell carried the ball three times for 36 yards and caught all five of his targets for 46 yards and a touchdown. That 16-yard touchdown reception, which gave the Jets a 20-0 lead, perfectly sums up Powell’s ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and make plays once he gets the ball in space:
The Jets have the ball on 3rd and 11 in the red zone, a near-certain passing down.
