Despite nothing significant materializing, the New York Jets did attempt to swing a trade for a star wide receiver at the trade deadline.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jets looked into making a deal for Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams. The Raiders, who turned the Jets away, proceeded to fire both their head coach and general manager shortly after the talks went nowhere.
Ahead of Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline, the Jets tried to trade for Raiders’ Pro Bowl WR Davante Adams; Las Vegas turned them away – and then proceeded to make mass changes to the organization.
