The Giants and Jets are scheduled to play their annual preseason game on August 27, but the summer showdown between the crosstown/in-state/across-the-parking lot rivals may be losing its name.
MetLife, the insurance behemoth whose name is on the stadium the Giants and Jets share, is reportedly considering phasing out the use of iconic Peanuts character Snoopy in its advertising, according to a report by The New York Post.
And if MetLife is no longer rolling with Snoopy, can they really keep calling the Giants-Jets preseason game the Snoopy Bowl?
