Brandon Marshall still feels the same hype and intensity surrounding this Sunday’s Jets-Patriots matchup — even if no one else seems to.
The last time these AFC East rivals met it felt different, as the Jets wound up defeating the Patriots 26-20 in overtime at MetLife Stadium in Week 16 last season to give themselves a chance to make the playoffs.
Now, it appears the Jets (3-7) are just looking to salvage their 2016 campaign.
Not that Marshall wants to hear it.
“I don’t understand why it’s different. It’s a football game, and you prepare for it the same every single week,” Marshall said Friday.
