NFL mock draft 2016: Jets will take defensive end at No. 20, says NFL Network analyst

We are moving ever closer to the NFL Draft, which runs from Thursday through Saturday. So the final mock drafts are (mercifully) rolling in.

One prominent draft analyst, NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah, is going with an offbeat projection for the Jets at No. 20 overall: Clemson defensive end Kevin Dodd, who would presumably convert to a 3-4 outside linebacker with the Jets.

Here's how Jeremiah explains the projection: "The Jets need to upgrade the edge rush and Dodd's best football is ahead of him."

Dodd is 6-foot-5 and 277 pounds, so he could fit as an outside linebacker with the Jets, though he'd have to adjust to the non-rushing parts of the job, like occasional coverage responsibilities.
