The Jets have expressed interest in re-signing long snapper Tanner Purdum, a pending free agent, a league source told NJ Advance Media.
Purdum, 32, has been the Jets' long snapper since 2010. He has been a steady, reliable presence on their special teams unit. He has never missed a game during his Jets career.
It isn't clear if the Jets will re-sign Purdum before the NFL's free agency signing period begins at 4 p.m. Thursday, the source said. But it's not like they're just going to let Purdum walk.
