NFL Draft 2018: Why Josh Allen could be better option for Jets than Josh Rosen, Baker Mayfield, says Todd McShay

As the 2018 NFL Draft approaches, ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay's most recent mock draft had an interesting projection for the Jets at No. 6 -- Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen, who has a monster arm.

McShay had the Jets passing on two other quarterbacks -- Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield and UCLA's Josh Rosen.

That's because McShay believes USC's Sam Darnold and Allen have separated themselves from Mayfield and Rosen as the top two quarterbacks in this draft, coming out of NFL Scouting Combine.

And McShay explained in a conference call Wednesday why Allen could be a good fit with the Jets and their new offensive coordinator, Jeremy Bates, despite Allen's accuracy issues:

"I think Allen, for a lot of teams, has kind of separated himself from the other two [Rosen and Mayfield].
