The Jets traded up from sixth to third in the 2018 NFL Draft in order to select a quarterback.
So it makes perfectly reasonable sense that they're doing their homework on the top four quarterbacks in this draft -- USC's Sam Darnold, UCLA's Josh Rosen, Wyoming's Josh Allen, and Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield.
As part of that homework, the Jets will put Mayfield through a private workout Saturday on Oklahoma's campus, a league source confirmed to NJ Advance Media. Separately, Mayfield will make a pre-draft visit to the Jets' facility in Florham Park in April, the source said.
