The Jets' primary outside linebackers last year were Josh Martin and Jordan Jenkins. Lorenzo Mauldin missed the entire season after back surgery. Dylan Donahue (he of two DUI arrests in the past year) missed most of the season with an elbow injury. The Jets badly need to boost their edge rushing production. They're simply not getting enough of a pass rush from their outside linebackers.
Mauldin and Donahue could be cut. Their roster spots aren't safe. It would be a surprise if the Jets did anything with Jenkins this year. They don't have any trade-worthy players in their outside linebacker room.
