ORLANDO, Fla. -- On Monday at the NFL Annual Meeting, Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan revealed even more about why the Jets bailed on their contract offer to free agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
Maccagnan said it was a one-year contract offer, and that the Jets set a deadline for Suh to make a decision on the offer. When he didn't do that, the Jets pulled the offer. Suh was recently cut by the Dolphins.
"I don't normally talk about discussions with players and contracts," Maccagnan said.
