New York Jets WR Robby Anderson is set to play Week 1

This week, Robby Anderson was a limited participant in practice for the New York Jets. The veteran wide receiver has been nursing a calf injury that’s set him back since August. Anderson didn’t play in the team’s preseason finale against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, Aug. 29.

However, despite the injury, Anderson should be ready to go for this weekend against the Buffalo Bills. Per Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, Jets head coach Adam Gase noted that they were taking it easy with Anderson this week. The caution shown by Gase is to ensure he’ll be good to go once their opening regular-season game at MetLife Stadium rolls around this Sunday.
