The New York Jets opened up their preseason with a win against the Washington Commanders 20-17.
On offense, the Jets did not do much with Tyrod Taylor as quarterback, as most of their offensive starters were sitting. They saw their first score come on a great drive from third-string quarterback Andrew Peasley, who hit wideout Jason Brownlee on one of the best throws of the day. It was set up from some great running by Braelon Allen and a great receiving play from Isaiah Davis
