No Denzel Mims. No Vyncint Smith. No Josh Doctson. While a great majority of New York Jets-involved folks felt as though the wide receiver star power was not existent, the depth would be tough to argue heading into August. Without those three previously-mentioned names, however, forget about it; the depth argument evaporates into thin air.
Enter Chris Hogan, who was officially signed Wednesday, per the Jets official website. Running back Kenneth Dixon was waived to make room. Perhaps another reinforcement is on the way.
According to the New York Daily News‘ Manish Mehta, Joe Douglas and the Jets are set to work out veteran free agent wide receiver Donte Moncrief.
