Joe Douglas fulfilled one of his opening promises on Sunday. The New York Jets general manager made a vow to remain active on the NFL waiver wire in his introductory press conference earlier this summer. With all 32 teams cutting their rosters down to 53 on Saturday, the Jets pounced fewer than 24 hours later.

The slot receiver was chosen in the sixth round (210th overall) by the Patriots in the 2018 draft. He would spend the 2018 season on injured reserve as the Patriots took home their record-tying sixth Super Bowl victory.
