New York Jets sign S Marqui Christian to active roster

The New York Jets announced on Wednesday that they have agreed to terms with safety Marqui Christian. Formerly of the Los Angeles Rams, the defender has been added to New York’s active roster.

Christian, 25, began his career as a fifth-round pick (167th overall) of the Arizona Cardinals in 2016. Arizona released him in September of his rookie campaign but was signed by the Rams shortly after. The Division II alum of Midwestern State went on to establish a four-year tenure in Los Angeles, earning 83 tackles in that span (12 on special teams).

Previously this offseason, the Jets and Christian were engaged in negotiations but could not agree to a deal back in March.
