Per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the New York Jets are signing punter Thomas Morestead to serve as their punter in the absence of the injured Braden Mann. Jets head coach Robert Saleh recently revealed that Mann was diagnosed with a knee sprain that will keep him out 4-6 weeks at a minimum.
Morestead, 35, recently wrapped a 12-year term as the New Orleans Saints’ punter, where he won a Super Bowl in 2010 and reached a Pro Bowl after the 2012 season. He has also earned All-Pro nominations in 2012, 2013, 2017, and 2018.
