The New York Jets signed wide receiver Josh Malone to the active roster Tuesday, while cornerback Arthur Maulet heads to IR, per the team’s official website.
Malone, 24, was asked to step up this past Sunday in the wake of Breshad Perriman‘s sudden injury. Without Jamison Crowder and a host of other weapons, Malone filled in and finished with four catches and 16 yards (six targets).
Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 205 pounds, Adam Gase hopes Malone can fill-in to man down one of the outside receiver spots left open by Perriman, Denzel Mims and Vyncint Smith.
