The New York Jets experience a major setback this week, as starting linebacker Avery Williamson suffered tore his ACL. The injury occurred during the team’s second preseason game on Thursday against the Falcons in Atlanta. Williamson’s season has now ended before it even really started.
In addition to the Jets placing Williamson on injured reserve, the team signed veteran linebacker Albert McClellan on Saturday, per the team’s official Twitter account.

McClellan, 33, originally went undrafted in 2010 out of Marshall University and signed with the Baltimore Ravens.
