After practicing all week, New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold is now in line to miss Monday Night Football’s tilt against the struggling New England Patriots.
Head coach Adam Gase told the media of the current situation on a Saturday Zoom meeting.
“Unless something strange happens, Joe [Flacco] will be the starter for this game on Monday,” Gase said.
Darnold, 23, reinjured his bum shoulder in the team’s 35-9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday. It was the same shoulder he injured on Thursday night against Denver that forced him to miss two games.
