Sam Darnold might’ve created his first signature moment as a New York Jets employee, needing just 74 seconds to lead a nine play, 61-yard drive for the win, as the team ended a six-game losing streak in style, defeating the Buffalo Bills 27-23 on the road on Sunday afternoon.
Things immediately got off to a tricky start for the Jets, who allowed the Bills to march 73 yards down the field on their opening drive. Forty-eight of those yards came from Allen, who put in the first score from six yards away.
