A series of tweets from Colbert has appeared to confirm his metropolitan departure.
Colbert, 28, appeared in four games for the Jets and took over as a primary defender after Lamarcus Joyner‘s season-ending injury in Week 1. Over four games (three starts), Colbert earned 16 tackles. He was inactive for Sunday’s defeat against the Patriots, who waived Colbert as part of their final roster cuts in August.
