The New York Jets have dealt with their fair share of disappointment this season, but one player who has overachieved has been tight end Ryan Griffin. And it appears as though the franchise has rewarded him for his unexpected success.
The Jets announced late Saturday night that they had officially re-signed the veteran tight end to a three-year extension worth up to $10.8 million with incentives. On top of that, Griffin will be given $4 million in guarantees.
Griffin was signed by the Jets back in July after he spent the first six seasons of his career with the Houston Texans.
