The unfortunate ACL injury sustained by New York Jets rookie running back Breece Hall played a huge part in the collapse of the 2022 season.
With Hall, in the first seven weeks of the season, the Jets were 5-2. In the seven games he played, Hall totaled 681 yards (97.3 per game) and had five total touchdowns (four rushing). On the ground, Hall ran for 463 yards and averaged an off-the-charts 5.8 per carry. Also, from a receiving standpoint, Hall caught 19 passes for 218 yards.
The Jets, unfortunately, went on to lose not only Hall but Alijah Vera-Tucker for the season after Week 7 following the 5-2 start, and the offense struggled.
