Obviously, there are others (here’s looking at you, Aaron Rodgers), but more than ever, these young quarterbacks can throw on the run and release the ball from incredible positions guys decades ago couldn’t dare dream of executing.
One such young quarterback who’s surely climbing up the ranks in this regard is New York Jets‘ Sam Darnold, whose abilities allow him to pull off athletic feats such as these but also get him into trouble at times (bad footwork, throwing from an open stance too often, etc.
