New York Jets practice recap: Adam Gase, pick plays and Quinnen Williams

FLORHAM PARK, NJ—Wednesday featured active offense at Florham Park. Of course, it’s impossible to determine just how great the offense performed, until the film is viewed, but young Sam Darnold was slinging it.

On one particular red-zone situation during team sessions, Darnold found Jamison Crowder on an out-route, out of bounds at the 1-yard line. On the very next play, the New York Jets franchise quarterback hit his new slot man for the score on the right side of the end zone.

Josh McDaniels and Tom Brady would have donned a proud smile; it was a pick-play extravaganza (despite the near-side official not throwing the flag).
