The New York Jets are placing center Ryan Kalil on injured reserve. The team announced the move on Saturday afternoon, less than 24 hours before they face the Washington Redskins on the road (1 p.m. ET, Fox).

Kalil, 34, was signed by the Jets on Aug. 2. Previously, he earned five Pro Bowl invites and three All-Pro nominations as a member of the Carolina Panthers.
