At 1 p.m. Eastern today, NFL teams may officially begin signing players to their practice squads.
Teams may add up to 16 players to their practice squad. The limit was upped from 10 to 12 for the 2020 season, but due to the COVID-19 circumstances, it was increased once more to 16 for this season only.
On each practice squad, up to four players may have up to two years of NFL experience each. Up to six players may have any amount of NFL experience. For the final six spots, only players who have been on an active roster for fewer than nine games in any season of their careers are eligible.
