New York Jets’ Joe Douglas Attacks Offensive Line During First Offseason As GM

(CBSNewYork)– It is a big offseason for the New York Jets and general manager Joe Douglas is focused on upgrading the team’s offensive line in free agency.

The Jets offensive line allowed 52 sacks last year with only the Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers, and Miami Dolphins allowing more. Shoring up the line in front of franchise quarterback Sam Darnold is one of the many reasons why the team signed former Denver Broncos center Connor McGovern to a three year, $27 million deal.

McGovern was a three year starter for the Broncos and the New Jets center will get $18 million guaranteed.
