Former New York Jets linebacker Erin Henderson is suing the team for wrongful termination and disability discrimination, according to Josh Alper of NBC Sports. Henderson was placed on the non-football injury list last October due to side effects from a medication called Seroquel, which was prescribed by the team for his bipolar disorder.
The team claimed he was not fit to play, and Henderson claims that he was sleepy due to side effects, which caused him to attend meetings late and act groggy during them. The team did not comment, although according to Alper, they thought he was drunk at one point during a meeting.
