With final cutdowns approaching at 4 p.m. ET on August 27, the New York Jets have several key roster decisions to make. Of the 37 players they’ll release, most will be pretty cut-and-dried. However, a few of the cuts, and by extension the players they keep, could make a significant impact on the bottom of their roster.
The most interesting players to keep an eye on are defensive tackle Leonard Taylor, edge rusher Braiden McGregor, and returner Brandon Codrington. Cornerback Jarrick Bernard-Converse seemingly has his spot locked up, but his injury could change that.
Among linebackers Chazz Surratt, Zaire Barnes, and Sam Eguavoen, there will likely be at least one and perhaps two cuts.
