After a strong rookie campaign, New York Jets tight end Chris Herndon has been rewarded for his play by being named to the Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie Team.
This comes on the heels of an impressive first reason where Herndon tallied 39 catches for 502 yards, the most by a Jets tight end since Dustin Keller in 2011. The Miami product also brought in four touchdown grabs, tied for the most out of any rookie tight end. His 39 receptions also paced all first-year tight ends this season.
While this honor isn’t the official NFL All-Rookie team which has not been released yet, it’s an honor nonetheless.
