The New York Jets will not have the full New Jack City on Sunday vs. the Denver Broncos. Head coach Todd Bowles revealed that star cornerback Trumaine Johnson hurt himself in practice on Thursday and will not play at home vs the Broncos.
From further investigation, it appears to be a quad injury. All Bowles would say is it’s considered a “strain.” Bowles, when questioned further about the injury, refused to say it’s season-ending, but they’ll continue to evaluate.
This is just another bump in the road for Johnson who quite frankly has had a bumpy first season with the green and white so far in 2018.
