The Jets lost 22-17 and this is not the first time they have blown a win-and-they’re-in for the playoffs in the final game of the season, but this may just be the worst regular season loss in their 56-season sorry history, even more painful than when Bill Parcells allowed Leon Johnson to throw a halfback option in Detroit in 1997 which was intercepted in the end zone or giving up a 14-0 lead to the Ravens in 2000 and losing by two touchdowns.
