The Jets will host free-agent tight end Mychal Rivera for a visit on Monday, a league source told NJ Advance Media. Rivera's upcoming trip to Florham Park was first reported by FOX Sports.
Rivera spent the first six years of his career with the Raiders. After they signed Jared Cook on Thursday, Rivera became expendable.
Selected in the sixth round of the 2013 NFL Draft, Rivera burst onto the scene as a rookie. He caught 38 passes for 407 yards and four touchdowns. He set new career-highs in 2014, catching 58 passes for 534 yards and another four scores.
