FLORHAM PARK, N.J. - Muhammad Wilkerson left practice Sunday after tweaking a hamstring.
The Jets defensive end -- who currently is seeking a long-term contract extension -- was spotted walking off the field with a trainer and toward the locker room. But it wasn't until after practice that Todd Bowles disclosed the injury.
"I think he tweaked his hamstring as far as I know," the coach said. "They took him inside just to stretch him out."
Bowles downplayed the severity of Wilkerson's injury but couldn't say for certain if he will have to sit out a few practices.
