FLORHAM PARK -- The Jets had a miserable secondary last season, both on the field and off. It didn't take long for new cornerback Morris Claiborne to hear about that this offseason, as he spoke with the few Jets veteran defensive backs who returned in 2017.
Claiborne now consults often with corner Buster Skrine. They have formed a leadership duo that Claiborne hopes will steer the Jets' defensive backs to both off-field unity in their meeting room and on-field success.
"It just wasn't a solid room," Claiborne told NJ Advance Media, when asked what Skrine told him about 2016.
