Morris Claiborne played the past two seasons on one-year contracts for the Jets, but he wouldn’t mind sticking around for more.
While the cornerback will miss his first game of the season Sunday against the Patriots with shoulder and ankle injuries, he said he believes in the future of the team.
“I would love to be back here,” Claiborne said Friday. “Definitely. I love the culture. I love what the New York Jets have going on. I feel like it won’t be long before this team is a playoff team.”
The 28-year-old has two interceptions on the year but has committed some untimely penalties.
