The media attention was on the quarterback, per usual, as Dimitri Flowers sat alone quietly at his locker inside the Jets' training facility.
It was nothing new for Flowers, a gritty, blue-collar athlete who likes labeling himself more as a "football player" than his listed fullback position.
The 22-year-old undrafted free agent who played in the same offense as this year's No. 1 overall pick, Baker Mayfield, has a locker which resides right next to Sam Darnold, the Jets' hopeful franchise QB the organization has been in search of for decades.
As Darnold handled a similar media firestorm likes the ones Mayfield garnered the past few years, Flowers -- out of Oklahoma -- had his head buried in the playbook with little to no attention.
