MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- Jets coach Todd Bowles said he "thought" about sitting struggling defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson for a few weeks so he could heal his ailing shoulder and toe.
It appears that, after giving it thought, the Jets figured that wasn't such a good idea. Wilkerson is active for the Jets' Week 7 game against the Dolphins. He'll play.
The Jets' seven inactives are as follows: Quarterback Christian Hackenberg, cornerback Derrick Jones, running back Travaris Cadet, linebacker Freddie Bishop, linebacker Obum Gwacham, tackle Jonotthan Harrison and tight end Jordan Leggett.
Wilkerson, 28, is in the midst of another down year.
