The Jets haven't reached the playoffs since 2010. They are currently in their second year of a rebuilding process.
But if 2019 free agency goes how general manager Mike Maccagnan hopes it might, the Jets could find themselves back in the postseason next year.
Maccagnan said Thursday that he views next offseason's free agency period as a potential "springboard" to a long-awaited playoff berth, since the Jets have so much salary cap space to fill holes in their roster -- most notably at pass rusher.
