Mehta: Bowles' in-game management still a work in progress

Todd Bowles has successfully navigated through plenty of off-field turbulence, but there are fair concerns about his game-day decision-making after a fourth consecutive week of questionable calls.

From odd clock management to curious rationale to go for it on fourth down, Bowles certainly has the look of a rookie head coach still finding his way.

Woody Johnson made the right hire at the right time for the organization. There’s no reason to believe that Bowles won’t grow as a head coach over time, but there’s no denying that some of his in-game choices have been a detriment through the first two months of the season.
