The Jets on Friday announced a low-profile set of transactions — with one interesting twist.
They re-signed nose tackle T.J. Barnes, whom they had just cut, to their practice squad. They released cornerback Jeremy Harris from the practice squad. And they also signed Lawrence Okoye to the practice squad.

Okoye is notable because he's a former British record-holding discus thrower. He participated in the 2012 Olympics in London. He finished 12th.
