Former Jets linebacker Marvin Jones and defensive back Erik McMillan will join the Jets’ coaching staff this summer as part of the Bill Walsh Minority Coaching Fellowship, the team announced Tuesday.
Jones, the fourth overall pick in 1993, played his entire NFL career (1993-2003) in the middle of the Jets’ defense. He finished with 362 tackles, nine sacks and five interceptions.
McMillan spent five years playing for the Jets (1988-92). In 51 starts, he had 22 interceptions, five of which were returned for touchdowns. He was named The Associated Press NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 1988, when he led the AFC with eight interceptions.
